Posting Summary | Reports to the Manager. Responsible for reconciling several of the University’s bank accounts on a daily/monthly basis. Responsible for general account reconciliations including general ledger and other operational accounts. Ensures all transactions, returns, and cancellations are recorded accurately in the general ledger. Monitors return check and chargeback logs. Ensures all return checks are logged and forwarded to the cashier’s office, including all retrieval requests. Assesses bank reconciliations and identifies questionable reconciling items for investigation. Researches and resolves outstanding balance differences. Provides general accounting support to University Accounting department as well as other university departments and personnel. Assists with various projects, such as the escheatable property process and observation of year-end physical inventories. |

Qualifications
Minimum Education and Experience | Requires a bachelor’s degree preferably in accounting, finance, business administration or related field, or an equivalent combination of education and/or experience that demonstrated knowledge and understanding of generally accepted accounting principles and practices. Also requires two years professional experience in a financial/accounting function. |

Preferred Qualifications | An accounting degree and prior experience working with bank reconciliations are preferred. |
